Inspired to Inspire

The first thing you should know about me, is that my name means "the World."  My Papa Yahya (grandpa) chose my name after he converted to Islam while in prison. As of today, August 22, 2022, at 23 years old... I have yet to meet someone with my name. And that feels so empowering. 

I've always found myself inspired by the world and it's endless wonders. Which is probably why I've always lacked a niche. There are just so many things in the world to be curious about and explore. 

All my life (literally since 2nd or 3rd grade), I've loved writing. I would write mini books for my class to pass around and they loved them! But I didn't feel like writing was all I could do. 

Around 11 or 12 years old, I switched from conventional writing, to poetry. And everyone loved that too! I even won a poetry contest our local library was hosting. However, sometimes my best poems felt too personal to share, but I still wanted to create and share with the world. 

So you know what I did? 

At 13, I began writing music with my best friend at the time. We were both in Junior Honor's choir, she could sing and play guitar; I could hold a note and write my ass off, so we auditioned for the school talent show. Now we didn't win overall, but we made it into the final show and we were proud. 

And the timeline continues, with me exploring my creativity with hair, fashion and now makeup. 

And you know what? I have a talent for every single one. 

More than that, I am continually inspired by all of them. 

Whenever I find myself stuck on how to continue with one of my talents, I take a break and either revisit one I haven't practiced in a while or look into a new creative outlet. 

All I know is that I don't want to stop creating, ever. 

This may all sound chaotic to the average reader but the world inspires me, and I believe I am an outlet to continue inspiring others. 

This page is how I'm bringing all of my creativity to one space. I know I'm not alone in being a person who doesn't have a niche and doesn't want one either. I just want a place to share my creativity and actively inspire others to continue creating as well.
